Safe Assign

The University of Kansas subscribes to the digital plagiarism detection program, SafeAssign. Faculty users have found the program to be both effective in determining appropriate use of sources in student papers and effective as a deterrent to plagiarism. Instructional Development and Support (IDS) administers the program through Blackboard and assists instructors in learning how to use it. You can read more about SafeAssign at http://www.safeassign.com/

The KU Writing Center has collected several links to resources you can use to learn more about effective strategies for reducing plagiarism. We can also work with you on assignment and course (re)design to incorporate anti-plagiarism strategies. Please contact us for an individual or departmental consultation.
