Testimonials

It was like I got a new battery. -- Jane Irungu, Write-In Alum

The most productive work that I remembered getting done... --Lee Kruger, Write-In Alum

As a graduate student, I feel greatly encouraged and inspired. A rewarding experience. Thank you very much! Really appreciate your time and effort.

Write-In Overview

Whether you are preparing for your comprehensive exams, writing your dissertation or dissertation prospectus, editing a paper for publication, writing a book review or fellowship application, we invite you to join us. You will find community with other KU graduate students, and Writing Center Staff will be available for consultations with lots of positive energy to support your writing efforts.

Who should attend?

All KU graduate students are invited to spend the day writing with us.

What to expect

Our goal is to offer a pleasant space conducive to clear thinking and effective writing. We offer an environment without distractions, one that will allow you (should you wish) to connect with other graduate students who are committed to their academic and professional writing. To this end, participants (who requested to do so) are paired with another participant to discuss their work and share feedback on their writing. KU Writing Center staff are also available for on-site consultation.
